Technology Engineer - IT
Jacksonville, Florida, Estados Unidos SolicitarThe Technology Engineer manages and implements client data within technological ecosystems, including Vendor Management Systems (VMS) and other emerging tech platforms. This role serves as a key partner in aligning business requirements with technical execution, ensuring accurate data integration and system configuration throughout the client lifecycle.
Primary responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data, identifying gaps or discrepancies, and performing data modeling to support optimal system performance. The Tech Engineer collaborates closely with Solution Design and Engineer, Tech Provider, PMO, Client and Implementation teams to configure technology applications that meet client specifications. They maintain the Data Configuration Workbook, build and quality-assure load files, and manage data both pre- and post-deployment. Post-implementation, the Tech Engineer continues to support client data needs, including system updates (e.g., cost centers, users, rate changes) and internal documentation (includes project checklist and project documentation). They own and lead all technical configuration for client expansions, partnering with internal MSP Solutions and Shared Support teams to ensure seamless planning and execution. All activities are performed in compliance with organizational policies, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in data management practices.
What you’ll be doingGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Gathers and interprets client-provided datasets (e.g., Excel, CSV, Peoplesoft/Oracle extracts) to assess volume, data relationships, and optimal workflow structure
• Designs scalable data models and hierarchies aligned with the client’s business structure and system functionality
• Cleanses, validates, and standardizes raw data to populate configuration tools such as the Data Configuration Workbook
• Translates client requirements into technical configurations within VMS and related platforms
• Builds and uploads data files to support foundational, census, and ongoing configuration needs through the entire deployment cycle
• Configures UAT environments to support implementation/project signoffs and integration testing efforts
• Configures PROD environments in alignment to implementation/project signoffs
• Serves as a technology configuration SME between client stakeholders, MSP/PMO teams, Solution Engineers, Supplier Operations, and platform providers.
• Communicates configuration risks, issues, and remediation plans to internal project teams and client contacts
• Supports go-live planning and post-deployment activities, including change requests, system updates (cost
centers, users, rates), and client expansion projects.
• Provides standard support to existing clients via level 2 ticketing queue, as appliable to project pipeline volume and activity levels
• Validates and edits client data identifies and raises gaps, anomalies, typos. Formats and cleanses data to IT MSP standard
• Performs rigorous QA reviews on configured data and system elements prior to launch
• Maintains up-to-date project documentation, including configuration checklists, project trackers, and version logs
• Contributes to the internal knowledge base and documentation libraries by mapping workflows and configuration guidelines
• Maintains working knowledge of multiple applications including VMS tools and integrated third-party solutions (e.g., digital interviewing, assessments, sourcing tech)
• Leads configuration efforts for client expansions and escalated support scenarios as needed based on resource capacity and demand
Process Optimization & Standardization
• Identifies opportunities to optimize configuration workflows and data management practices.
• Recommends updates to standard tools, templates, and procedures to enhance consistency and quality across projects
• Supports scalable practices for handling large datasets and tight turnaround deliverables across multiple implementations
EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in application configuration, technology implementation, or technical consulting
• Strong proficiency with Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data cleansing techniques
• Solid understanding of hierarchical data structures, integration logic, and data modeling concepts
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with Managed Service Program (MSP) environments
• Experience with VMS/Workforce Management tools (i.e. SAP Fieldglass, Beeline, VNDLY, Simplify, Flextrack)
• Experience with Word, Access database and Visualization tools
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Strong customer support abilities, to include oral and written communication, problem solving, and resourcefulness
• Strong working knowledge of Salesforce or similar incident ticketing systems
• Able to meet time sensitive delivery dates often on tight timelines
• Flexibility to modified work shift/global coverage needs
• Ability to travel as needed

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $95,000. Salary may be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. This position participates in Pontoon’s incentive program which also includes bonus eligibility.
Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Available paid leave includes Personal Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis up to 152 hours a year, 10 Paid Holidays, 1 Community Service Day, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
