As Head of Internal Controls for Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg, you will be a key leader within the Global 2nd Line of Defense team. You’ll oversee internal controls activities, ensure robust risk management, and drive a stronger control environment across our GBUs. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with teams across countries and brands to ensure excellence in controls and compliance.
Your mission- Lead and inspire the 2LoD team in your country or cluster.
- Plan and execute ICS testing activities following Group and Regional guidelines.
- Monitor and review testing performed by the 2LoD team, providing coaching and advice to strengthen expertise.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to country management, supporting actionable improvements.
- Evaluate operational activities to identify opportunities for enhancing internal controls.
- Advise 1LoD teams on local control execution, providing daily consultation and training.
- Collaborate closely with country management, SSCs, and global 1LoD colleagues to improve control environments, respecting proper segregation of duties.
- Partner with Group Internal Audit and Legal & Compliance teams to support investigations and share insights.
- Act as the 2LoD lead in the Group ICS Tool and train 1LoD users in your cluster/country.
- Participate in special projects and other initiatives as directed by the Regional Head of Internal Controls
