Passionate about IT? Enjoy solving technical challenges and making sure people can work without a hitch? Then this could be your next career move!

At Adecco, we believe technology helps people and businesses move forward. Behind our daily operations is an IT environment that needs to be reliable, secure and efficient. To help maintain and continuously improve this environment, we are looking for an IT Operations & Workplace Specialist who combines technical expertise with a strong customer-focused mindset.

Based in Groot-Bijgaarden, you will support our offices across Belgium and Luxembourg, ensuring our employees have the technology and support they need to do their jobs effectively.

In this varied role, you will handle complex IT issues, support workplace technologies, coordinate infrastructure projects and work closely with internal teams and external service providers. You will combine hands-on technical support with coordination and continuous improvement, so no two days will be exactly the same.

What will you do?

As an IT Operations & Workplace Specialist, you will help keep our IT environment running smoothly and ensure our employees can rely on the right technology.

  • IT Operations & Support: Analyse and resolve complex hardware, software, network and workplace issues that cannot be handled by the Global Service Desk. Work with international IT teams and external service providers when needed.
  • Workplace Management: Manage end-user devices, laptops, mobile phones, software installations, access rights and other IT assets. You will also support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Infrastructure & Connectivity: Help maintain the availability, security and performance of our local IT infrastructure, including networks, telephony, printers and meeting room technology.
  • IT Projects & Implementations: Coordinate and support IT projects such as office openings and relocations, network upgrades, technology rollouts and workplace transformations.
  • Incident Management & Continuous Improvement: Take ownership of complex incidents, follow them through to resolution and identify opportunities to improve IT services and the end-user experience.
  • IT Asset Management: Oversee IT equipment throughout its lifecycle, from procurement and configuration to distribution, repairs and replacement. Keep inventories and technical documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with colleagues, business stakeholders, international IT teams and external partners to ensure effective collaboration and high-quality service delivery.

In short, you will combine technical expertise with ownership, coordination and a strong focus on the end user.

Who are you?

You are a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving problems, taking responsibility and finding solutions that work in the long run. You look beyond the immediate technical issue and always keep the needs of the business and its users in mind.

You will bring:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT support, Service Desk, IT Operations or a similar role.
  • A solid understanding of hardware, software and workplace technologies.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn new systems, tools and applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly to different audiences.
  • A customer-oriented and solution-driven mindset, with the ability to manage several requests or incidents at the same time.
  • A proactive attitude and a sense of ownership, ensuring issues are followed through to resolution.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external service providers, while constructively challenging them when necessary.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.
  • A willingness to travel regularly to our offices across Belgium and Luxembourg, as the role involves an estimated 20–50% travel.

A technical degree is an advantage, but equivalent education combined with relevant practical experience is equally welcome.

What's in it for you?

At Adecco, you will have the opportunity to take on a broad IT role where you can combine technical expertise, autonomy and organisational skills.

  • Variety: Work on a wide range of IT challenges, from day-to-day support to infrastructure and projects.
  • Impact: Help our colleagues work efficiently and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT services.
  • Ownership: Take responsibility for your cases and have the freedom to propose and implement improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, international IT teams and external technology partners.
  • Development: Expand your technical expertise and gain experience across different areas of IT Operations.
  • A competitive package: Benefit from a competitive salary package complemented by fringe benefits.
Ready for your next IT challenge?

Would you like to put your technical expertise to work in a varied role where you do more than solve problems – where you actively contribute to a reliable, efficient and future-ready IT environment?

Then we would love to hear from you!
