HR Advisor – Remote or Hybrid – Flexibility to be based anywhere, with occasional requirements to attend meetings in Birmingham/ London

Full Time Permanent: 37.5 hour working week

Adecco will also provide an opportunity to gain the CIPD qualification up to Level 7, although this is not essential to the role.

Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations.

The primary function of the HR Advisor is to provide an effective, robust ER Advisory service to colleagues based within branch and in the field. Managing employed associates and the temporary workforce.

Working in close partnership with the rest of the Advisory Team, to advise on employee relations (ER) matters and company policies and processes in place to manage the temporary population.

What you will be doing:
  • Provide guidance compliant with prevailing employment legislation
  • Advising colleagues in resolving conflict issues and dealing with grievances such as conducting investigations and preparing documentation
  • Provide the branch network with advice on HR policy and procedures
  • Assist with reviewing and interpreting information to enable accurate updating of policies and procedures in line with current legislation and practices
  • Assist with the management of incoming and outgoing TUPE consultations and information exchange
  • Attend area/regional business management meetings and use the opportunity to present HR best practice initiatives in relation to employed associates
  • Build relationships of trust within business areas and a good working understanding of the commercial objectives and challenges
  • Identification of business issues and trends and contributing to a strategy to train and upskill colleagues with relevant creation, ownership and maintenance of guidebooks, policies, training documentation and toolkits relating to associates
  • Assist with the delivery of HR specific workshops and communication updates to the business
  • Work with other Shared Service Functions to overcome challenges and issues during the end-to-end management of temporary workers
  • Assisting Colleagues with managing performance and conduct issues arising from the associate population, including the use of capability and disciplinary procedures, conducting investigations, preparing documentation, and where relevant attending high level or escalated meetings.
