We are recruiting for a Senior Communications Executive - PR & Public Affairs to support colleagues from across the Adecco Group!

Role Overview:

This role sits within the UK & Ireland Communications team, whose remit includes Internal and External Communications. The team is responsible for strategically boosting employee engagement, building our reputation and reducing organisational risk exposure, enabling leader effectiveness and supporting the differentiation of Adecco and the Adecco Group from competitors.

This role reports directly to the Head of Internal Communications for people management purposes, including performance reviews and team development. However, there will be dotted line reporting to the Country Head of Communications, who will set priorities and deliverables for the role.

What you’ll be doing


PR:

  • Working with the Country Head of Communications in developing and delivering communications plans that enhance the company's brand, image and reputation
  • Crafting compelling content for various channels, including press releases, thought leadership articles and blog posts
  • Building positive relationships with media contacts, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure media coverage and maximise positive exposure
  • Ensuring consistent messaging, an appropriate tone of voice, and alignment across all departments for external communications
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide communication support for initiatives as needed
  • Creating reports that measure and analyse the impact of communication campaigns
  • Staying updated on industry trends and monitoring media coverage to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks
  • Assisting the Country Head of Communications with crisis comms or unanticipated external communications challenges

Public Affairs

  • Working with our Public Affairs agency to build and manage relationships with policymakers, government officials, trade associations, and other key stakeholders
  • Keeping up-to-date with legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the employment industry, particularly the workforce solutions sector, and providing actionable insights to the leadership team
  • Assisting with drafting position papers, consultation responses, and briefings to articulate the Group’s policy positions.
  • Representing the Adecco Group at public affairs events, forums, and meetings to advance its interests.

About you

Essential

  • Relevant experience or qualifications in PR, Public Affairs, Communications and/or Journalism, or similar
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills in English, with the ability to simplify complex information and maintain a consistent tone
  • Strong relationship-building skills, a proactive ‘can-do’ approach and high emotional intelligence
  • Passionate about Public Affairs, with the ability to provide actionable insights on political and legislative developments.
  • A creative mindset to ensure PR campaigns and messaging are memorable and impactful
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all communications
  • Ability to create engaging verbal and visual content that aligns with the Adecco Group’s voice and style
  • Ability to work autonomously, making sound professional judgements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, prioritising tasks effectively, meeting tight deadlines, and staying calm in a crisis
  • Result-driven and committed to teamwork, believing in the power of ‘we’

Desirable

  • Experience in crisis communications
  • Experience in a multi-national or highly-matrixed organisation
  • An aptitude for visual design and creativity, including filming and videos, would be a bonus (but is not expected)

Our interview process includes an initial phone screening, followed by a virtual round of interviews with the Hiring Manager. For successful candidates, there will be a written assessment and a final F2F interview at our London offices.
