Commercial Analyst

The Commercial Analyst provides support to the Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner and wider business, offering pricing support, insightful financial and operational reporting, and analysis that supports strategic decision making, profitability improvement and commercial performance. This role reports directly to Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner.

Key Responsibilities
• Support tender and proposal development through commercial modelling and pricing analysis.
• Own calculators and modelling tools used for pricing and quotations.
• Provide recommendations to optimise profitability and support Adecco’s financial objectives.
• Assist with month end activities, bonus and incentive calculations, forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Produce regular and ad hoc reporting across the business.
• Support analysis and measurement of key performance drivers, trends, risks and opportunities across business units, branches and customers.
• Provide performance reporting and dashboard insights, highlighting material variances.
• Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting automation and data quality.
• Partner with sales, operational and support function leaders, translating complex financial information into meaningful business insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and decision-making tools, supporting implementation of new systems and analytical solutions.
• Undertake ad hoc projects as required.

Job Requirement/Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Analytics or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years’ experience in commercial finance, business analytics, financial planning or a similar analytical role.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience within staffing, professional services or workforce solutions industries is desirable.
• Experience working with large datasets and BI platforms, preferably Power BI, is desirable.
• CA/CPA part qualified or currently studying is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and modelling capability.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy.
• Commercial acumen and ability to connect analysis to business performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to improve reporting automation and data quality.
• SQL, Power Query or data modelling experience is desirable.
• Limited travel as required for stakeholder engagement, business meetings or project support.
