About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Core and Governance Engineer to join our team and lead the development, standardization, and governance of cloud operations across our organization. This role is crucial for ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient cloud resource management, aligning closely with business needs and security policies. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact (SPOC) for our LATAM region and work directly with local stakeholders to drive adherence to cloud governance policies, oversee migration activities, and support cloud and data center operations.

What you’ll be doing
  • Create and enforce standards for cloud security, provisioning, and resource management, aligned with company security policies.
  • Establish and maintain naming and tagging conventions to ensure compliance, resource organization, and accurate cost allocation across cloud resources.
  • Manage and implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) assignments to maintain a secure, least-privilege access model.
  • Regularly audit and review access control practices to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and internal security standards.
  • Oversee Azure DevOps administration, including repository management, access permissions, and configuration of automated pipelines for development and deployment.
  • Support development teams in implementing DevOps best practices to enhance productivity and security in cloud-based projects.
  • Plan and execute migration strategies for data center assets and applications transitioning to cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition, identify migration challenges, and develop solutions to optimize performance post-migration.
  • Act as the main point of contact for cloud-related issues and queries from stakeholders in the LATAM region.
  • Communicate technical standards, project progress, and cloud initiatives effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Document cloud governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide regular reports on compliance, security, and usage metrics to leadership teams.
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud governance, cloud engineering, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience with Azure services, RBAC, and Azure DevOps administration.
  • Demonstrated experience with data center to cloud migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, access management, and compliance practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, routing, and firewall configurations.
  • Proficiency in documenting standards and managing large-scale cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are preferred.
  • Occasional traveling up to 20%.
