You will be joining a lean team in the global IT & Digital Organization to focus on delivering incremental innovation and new digital experiences to our stakeholders. The organization focuses on fast iteration and prototyping ideas incubated from our business or coming from the external market to scale it up fast around the globe.
We are looking for a Tech Lead capable of becoming the valued technical counterpart to our Innovation product managers. We’re looking for a profile capable of learning our own technological stack, lead the activities of externals development teams to bring a solid tech rooting to our concepting, prototypes and MVPs in short sprinting cycles. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the early stages of software development , from conception to MVP to first field deploy. As Tech Lead, you should be proficient around both front-end and back-end coding languages, data engineering, development frameworks and third-party libraries: while your focus will not be on development, you should be able to do it when needed as in a small team it will speed up activities. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
As Tech Lead you are responsible for providing multidisciplinary technical guidance and designs across application and data features and use case for both supply and demand data aligned with the company mission of creating a common, consistent technology framework across all platform products, adhering also to IT Architecture, IT Security and Legal/Data Privacy policies.
What you’ll be doing- Provide guidance and leadership to a small team of FS developer, Data Engineer and QAs both internal in other teams or dedicated externals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
- Actively contribute to coding efforts, code reviews, and provide technical guidance to team members
- Cross functional collaboration with development teams, designers, Data Scientists and Innovation Managers to ideate, develop and test software solutions
- Cross functional collaboration with Enterprise architects, security managers, designers, Data Scientists and Innovation Managers to ideate, develop and test software solutions
- Collaborate closely with senior colleagues to shape the innovation roadmap, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and trends to create transformative products and services.
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of innovative projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards focusing on the development of applications
- Translate business requirements to technical work items
- Effectively communicate technical detail and complexity to Product teams and business stakeholders
- Define application integrations (internal and external)
- Test software and data features to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
- Create security and data protection settings following TAG policies
- Create technical blueprint for our applications
- Identify potential risks and challenges in innovation projects and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Effective application of patterns and methodologies to ensure long term cost efficiency, scalability, manageability and code efficiency
- Write technical documentation, including architectural designs
- 4+ years leading teams in a tech lead role, preferably in international environments
- Proven hands-on professional experience in developing JavaScript based web applications
- Proven experience in driving development teams and external partners
- Familiarity with AI technologies
- A willingness to support development activities when and where required, and lead by example
- Used to Software Architecture discussions for at strategical and tactical levels
- Strong experience developing on cloud architecture (Azure, AWS)
- Demonstrable experience working in config and infrastructure as code environments
- Passion for exploring emerging technologies and driving innovation within the organization.
- Cultural awareness and appreciation for diversity
- Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in English required; additional language skills beneficial
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field preferred
