Cloud Security Engineer
Prague, Czechia Apply for RoleThe Adecco Group, the world's second largest Human Resources provider and temporary staffing firm, and a Fortune Global 500 company, is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join the Cloud Governance team.
Primary focus for this position is to design, implement, and sustain solutions and evolution for our public and hybrid cloud network infrastructure that supports our digital applications. This role is dedicated to bridge the gap between traditional GSOC team and Cloud Security. Engineering designs must be flexible and scalable to support the network services for both on premises and cloud-based services. Familiarity with security frameworks, Splunk, security event management is preferred. This is a great opportunity to work in a team environment where you will be part of the engineering group that supports both our corporate enterprise infrastructure and enables sponsor-facing projects.
What you’ll be doing- Act as the escalation point and respond to security events generated by Splunk and triaged by GSOC team
- Triage and resolving incoming security events in cooperation with application/service owners, third party providers, Cloud Governance teams
- Continuously seek opportunities to reduce security events noise by using appropriate automation tools and in cooperation with GSOC team
- Required to gather the data, analyse the data, identify its criticality, and also automate tasks
- Responsible for troubleshooting issues with current data and making enhancements
- Work within Azure Cloud
- Cooperate with application developers to advise on implementation of security controls
- Update existing and create new Azure security policies based on findings
- Automation of security controls, data, and processes to provide improved metrics and operational support
- Provide domain expertise on information security engineering to other IT and business teams
- Ensuring proper metrics of security performance, and maturity over time
- On call rotation might be necessary
- 2-5 years of experience in Cloud Security or SOC
- Hands-on professional experience with Azure.
- Programming and scripting knowledge for automating day to day tasks – Splunk, Python, PowerShell, APIs
- Tracking and researching release of new cloud resource types and services, with a focus on security risk and attack surface expansion.
- Research mindset, with a hold on where to look for relevant information pertaining to cloud threats, vulnerabilities, and key adversary’s modes of interest.
- Coordinating with Security SMEs (Subject Matter Expert) to build hunting rules and triggers, which focus on adversary activity within the cloud control plane.
- Handle Customer escalations, to identify False-Positive & False-Negative
- Data discovery and validation (Data efficacy & Accuracy)
- Agile framework or scrum teamwork environment.
- Proactive, independent problem-solver who likes to be challenged, continuously learning
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with remote teams
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, written and verbal communication skills
- Obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Keep abreast of industry white papers & informed of industry direction and best practices
- Proficiency in English
- Occasional travel (up to 20%) is expected.
