Global Solution Design Director
United Kingdom Apply for RoleThis position provides functional expertise to the account lifecycle from Sales through Implementation by leading the data and requirements collection / analysis efforts and developing/validating the solution “blueprint”. Additionally, the Director Solution Design assists in providing profitable solutions in regards to the delivery of the MSP, Both CW as well as Services Procurement.
Solution Design works closely with Sales, Product/TechLab, Implementation and Program Management to further improve Pontoon’s service delivery. The Director Global Solution Design acts as a Solutions Leader within her/his own region or field on knowledge, based on expertise, country of residence and business needs.
What you’ll be doingESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works together with business development in the initial discovery phase of the client opportunity providing a consistent methodology and tools to develop the initial value proposition.
- Interprets strategic business direction, defining the overall business processes and model for the suite of MSP/SP service offerings.
- Provides expertise through identification of the clients business needs, vision, goals and overall strategic direction.
- Understands and facilitates dialogue around all positive and negative design implications of a future MSP and/or SP solution.
- Interprets the client requirements and based on knowledge of Pontoon's business, drives the business process, functional, tool and user experience vision in order to articulate a more effective and efficient solution recommendation incorporating Pontoon’s best practices and leading industry trends to meet the client-specific objectives.
- Develops solutions which further integrate and is more deeply intertwined with the client's business. Cultivates opportunities that increase the sustainability and inhibit the dissolution of the Pontoon MSP and SP relationship.
- Defines and documents the detail process, business, and architecture / integration requirements of the MSP and/or SP solution, including high-over VMS functionality and other technologies.
- Provides support in RFP/Proposal responses, presentations and pricing the MSP and/or SERVICES PROCUREMENT offering for a specific prospect and/or client.
- Develops and presents proposed solution to internal and external stakeholders.
- Works with business development as "the expert" in solution including org structure, processes and technology for the solutions being proposed.
- Acts as a guide to the accounts implementation team to ensure that the designed solution is adhered to during Implementation.
- Creates short and long term actions plans that support the MSP and/or SERVICES PROCUREMENT client strategy and organizational culture.
- Stays abreast of industry/market knowledge and trends; effectively applies knowledge of the MSP and/or SERVICES PROCUREMENT best in class solutions; client industry, and economic markets to the sales process.
- Perform situation analysis and make recommendations for problem solving.
- Conceive solutions, build consensus, and advocate/execute solutions.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE & OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of six (6) to eight (8) years of experience in a managed service industry required and three plus years in Program Management, Process design, Implementation and/or sales support.
- Prior MSP and SERVICES PROCUREMENT design, Program Management and/or project management experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with VMS and other procurement tools like Coupa and Ariba.
- Creative, Client Focused, analytical and process minded.
- Excellent oral/written communications.
- Excellent with tight timelines and pressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Comfortable making decisions, monitoring project progress, recommending alternative approaches and identifying & resolving conflict.
- Creative and able to think out of the box.
